Two books: The Mystery of the Shemitah, 

The Harbinger, and a video by Jonathan Cahn

I just finished reading The Mystery of the Shemitah, by Jonathan Cahn, who also wrote The Harbinger, and he really puts Life in perspective.  Democrats and Republicans aren't mentioned in the book, but he talks about how biblical Israel and Now America forgot God, were warned by significant national events (911) and didn't reverse their stance--that we need to thank God for every breath, instead of being defiant and thinking we can accomplish things all by ourselves, without leaning on God.




He builds upon his older book The Harbinger, 2012, which is the foundation to his prophecies about America, linking 911 to important concepts that can bring us closer to God and humility.  In the older book, he showed how politicians were quoting Bible verses relevant to warnings given to ancient Israel, before they were defeated. 





The Harbinger was fascinating and inspiring, both to one's personal life and hope for America's future, yet it was quite a mysterious book.  But by viewing his video, The Harbinger Decoded, created in the interim between the two books, I was able to understand the concepts much better. Bold landscape images, videos of prominent politicians quoting relevant verses from the Bible, and historic engravings of George Washington, for instance, explained connections and stuck in my memory better than mere text.
